Cameron&Rach:Season1:Episode2:Come Fly With Me

Come fly with me, let's fly, let's fly away
If you can use some exotic booze
There's a bar [or two] in [Las Vegas]
Come on and fly with me, let's fly, let's fly away

Come fly with me, let's float [back] down to [Sacramento]
In [our home city] there's a one [wonderfully comfortable bed]
And [you'll sleep such sweet, sweet sleeps]
Come on fly with me, let's take off in the blue

Once I get you up there where the air is rarified
We'll just glide, starry-eyed
Once I get you up there I'll be holding you so near
You may hear all the angels cheer 'cause we're together

Weather-wise it's such [an incredibly hot] day
Just say the words and we'll beat the birds
Down to [Phoenix, AZ]
It's perfect for a flying [business trip], they say
Come fly with me, let's fly, let's fly away

Weather-wise it's such a cool cool day
You just say those words and we'll beat the birds
[Back] down to [Sacramento
It's so perfect for a [returning flight home], oh babe
Come fly with me, let's fly, let's fly
Pack up, let's [not] fly away [for a really long time]!!

During the month of August, we spent lots of time flying. First to Las Vegas for a HUGE toy fair (for Cameron's work).
I had never been to Vegas before so it was definitely an adventure as well as a business trip!

We got to see Cirque du Soleil
and my FAVORITE part, was seeing Phantom of the Opera!
Oh my gosh is was INCREDIBLE!
I cried.
(That's saying something.)

I can't seem to figure out why people would spend VACATION time in Las Vegas.
For one, it is HOTTER THAN HELL.
Everything is BEYOND EXPENSIVE.
The people working in customer service are RUDE.
But, on the upside I did kind of feel like I was in Europe again.
Oh, maybe that's because there were so many people SMOKING!

I did enjoy the Fountains at Bellagio. I made Cameron sit through like three of the water shows. It was so beautiful!
Also, I did get to speak a little bit of German. :)

After five days in Vegas we flew back home to Sacramento.
And exactly a week later we were on a plane heading to Arizona for yet another business trip for Cameron.

Arizona was a LOT more relaxing. We spent lots of time with Cameron's aunt, uncle, and cousins. (I got a pedicure!) And we also spent some time with my aunt, uncle, and cousins!
And a few days later we were back at home.

All this traveling has made me INCREDIBLY grateful for the following:
1. air conditioning
2. huge bath tubs and swimming pools
3. MY BED
4. my husband's business partners who let me go on these trips with him so I didn't have to be home alone!
5. my husband - i'm not an easy person to travel with!
6. airports - for having free Wi-Fi - allowing us to watch episodes of Psych before each flight

Now to enjoy the few months we have before we're flying again!

Cameron&Rach:Season1:Episode1:The Honeymoon

The Honeymoon

We honeymooned our first two nights in downtown Seattle at a bed&breakfast
Shafer Baillie Mansion

 At Pikes Place Market
 Hanging out in downtown

We were so tired and exhausted after the wedding. We had both been working full time, moved from Utah to California, and got married all within a few months. We were wiped out!

After a day or two in Seattle we got a rental car (which they upgraded us to a Ford Escape - thankfully because we had a ton of presents), drove to my parents house, packed all our presents into the car, and headed south to California!

I wish I had taken pictures of us in the car because we had stuffed the car full! I had fun on the drive but that was because I was opening all our wedding presents. Cameron...well he didn't enjoy the drive as much. He convinced an Oregon State Trooper to give us a wedding gift too.
That was our least favorite gift.
Cameron is not allowed to drive is Oregon anymore.

After arriving home in Cali, we headed to the coast!
SANTA CRUZ!!

woohoo! we're married!!!

We rode the rides on the boardwalk...and they made us sick. We spent the rest of the time in Santa Cruz inside...not on the boardwalk, or anywhere near old rides and icky smelling food!
LOVE THE COAST!

The honeymoon was just what we needed! It was fun and relaxing. We also got to spend TONS of time together! We had spent so much time working while we were dating - we finally got to spend the time we wish we had had together while we were dating!

After 5 months of marriage...I'm ready for another relaxing honeymoon!

Rach&Cameron:Season1:Pilot:The Wedding

Saturday
April 21, 2012
Seattle Temple

N.O. R.A.I.N.

You know the saying: April showers bring May flowers?
Well, Seattle lives up to that almost every day in April...and most other days in the year.
But not on MY DAY.

I got married in the Seattle Temple.
Same temple as my parents.
Same month as my grandparents.

I won't say much about the actual ceremony....except...
there is nothing more wonderful than being SEALED to your BEST FRIEND for ALL eternity.
-PLUS-
having your other best friends and family there too...
well, I imagine it's just like heaven.

 ALSO,
the look on my husband's face the first time he saw me in my wedding dress with all my hair and makeup done...
PRICELESS!

I can't even begin to say how much I LOVE our photographer!
(Sonja, I LOVE YOU!!)
If I had a million bucks, I'd give them to her for taking such amazing pictures of my wedding day!

I think she did an amazing job capturing us as we really are....
GOOFY!

Something else that I hope to never forget...
the look on my younger cousins faces when I came out of the temple.

Now for the FAMILY photos!!

MY family :)

My DuBray family :)

The Bridal Party!!
MY GIRLS!  Alex, Megan, Keri, Angela, Mackenzie
And the guys! Jake, David, Adam, Allen, Chris

K so now here's the part where I just post most of my favorite of the wedding pictures so I can brag about my photographer.
BUT MOSTLY
to show off how beautiful I looked and how handsome my husband is.
(and I just like to look at wedding pictures)

The reception was held at the Community Center in Redmond Ridge.
My mom did an AMAZING job decorating and pretty much putting the entire reception together!
Our family friend, Nan, did the flowers.
And oh my gosh were they BEAUTIFUL!

My favorite part of the reception....
 The three stooges
 My brothers: Allen, Adam, David
Lip singing while my dad and I had our Father-Daughter dance.

The 'get-away' car...was actually uncle Randy's friend's car
 hahahaha

 and now, the adventure BEGINS!
